Women seem to see men as an asset; a PAY~CHECK, rather than a person.

Sad, but true. MGTOW is a thing now, thanks to that mindset.

Nice going, Feminists!

There is a mentality among a majority of poor women with children that men should provide financially for them and their families.

Bizzare how many these 300-400 pound welfare women who have no self-esteem and no intellectual capacity and only have several off-spring from several different relationships think that they are only going to a have a good man who will be a free ATM and baby-sitter and it will be happily after after.

Many parolees and men on probation have the choice of a homeless shelter or 300-400 pound women with mental or drug issues but with a section 8 voucher, so each time they choose the women with a section 8 voucher for a little bit until a better women comes along.

Sadly, the only men who will ever want to have anything to do them are men on parole or probation who are looking for someone on welfare with a section 8 voucher for a short-time until they find something better.

Always interesting how many men have child support garnishments also these days also. I wonder the percentage of men with child support garnishments during the 1950s compared to now.

I am all for child support garnishments for men who have children they refuse to pay for. They should have a state of the art computerized collection system for child support only that all employers must participate in and if they don't they have huge fines.

I have worked with some great salesmen who took home less than me because they had so many garnishments from all the child support.

There is also a massive consumerist addiction these days that did not exist before. Many of the women running the households generations ago did all they could to save money for their families. They would laugh in disbelief over having a $10 latte/dry pastry combo and $20 lunches like many do now.

Sadly, liberal media and the commercials are programming many women into a huge depression and huge self-esteem over the constant commercials that are exclusively catered to women these days.

I absolutely agree with both of you. As usual, the kooky Left’s answer to a problem of their making is now to try to reduce incarceration of criminals. They argue that incarceration of criminals serves no beneficial purpose for both the criminal and society.

Watch them work on dismantling the criminal justice system and open up a whole new can of worms. It’s amazing how influential Leftist/liberal ideas are throughout society. That’s what happens when they control most of the media, the colleges and universities and now increasingly, the public schools throughout the country.

What a society in decline these days. America needs to go back to conservative, traditional old-fashioned values.

Seems like the stories of women these days who will settle with criminal boyfriends to be a free baby sitting service these days is in many times resulting in tragedy.

Complete moral breakdown compared to two generations ago when a vast majority of births were to the mother and father of the baby.
Maybe they should get some of that luxurious student loan money and hire a nanny.

I'm part of a support/intervention/protection group for abused children. It's Guardians of the Children. I'm fairly new to the group, but sadly, most of the cases ARE single mothers with boyfriends/2nd husbands that are the abuser. It's happening far too often and the cases seem to be getting more frequent and more horrific every year.

From what Ive seen around here, this is definitely on the rise. It seems that many of these women eventually come to care more for the BF instead of their children. There were a few local cases here where the BF was pimping out the GF as well as the preteen daughters, all to feed their drug addiction, and the single mothers seemed to go along with every bit of it, they were more concerned with loosing the BF versus protecting their kids.

The graph you provided ignores the evolution of culture and laws, over time. Such depictions are often used to demonstrate ichanges in specific or general crimes or to compare crime rates, state to state and internationally.

Too common parental discipline in times gone bye, is viewed as criminal child abuse, today.

When I think back to my childhood and how common it was for a kid to have visible welts from a belt whipping or bruises.......

Some people blame current culture on parents who don't discipline their children and/ or who believe the state has no right to interfere in domestic discipline. A few of them are frequent posters to this forum.

Children who were abused are more likely to abuse their own children.

A good part of the problem is that our criminal justice system is a freekin' joke. One of the cases I was involved with the abuser (child rapist, a child of 7) was arrested and taken to jail. At his arraignment he was released on his own recognizance. A CHILD RAPIST. He didn't show for court and was a fugitive. A warrant was issued but no effort was made to collect him. He "ran" all of 20 miles to live with his parents-he finally was taken in when stopped for speeding and the warrant was found. He was taken to court again...and released on bail. One of these days I hope it's a judge's family that is the victim.

Another one was a 4 time abuser that had approached a child in public, held her against her will and proposed lewd acts. In a damned department store. We just went to court with this one last week-this SOB pled guilty and was released with 1 year of probation. A 4th criminal offense. The child has taken the whole thing hard. The pathetic POS of a defense attorney argued for leniency because he had been an abused child. Which makes him more of a monster because he KNOWS the impact of abuse.

We have a number of members of our group that were abused as children as well. And every one would put their lives on the line to protect a child from abuse.
