The NRA is the oldest civil rights group in this country, and is a grass roots member controlled organization of mostly gun owners.
Thus the rhetoric and hyperbole of the liberals/leftists/socialists/communists trying to divide gun owners over the NRA is rubbish.

I don't always agree with them, but if not for them, our constitutional rights would be in greater jeopardy than they currently are.
Never forget that without the 2nd Amendment, all the other Amendments are just ink on paper if ever a tyrannical government were to run amok.

The NRA is nothing more than a lobbyist group who gives millions to republicans to protect their agenda. And we all know our government is bought and paid for. Why in the world do we allow this. This is our county and we need to take it back from lobbyists.

they protect the 2nd amendment.....just like the ACLU protects civil liberties......the Unions have given more political contributions to Democrats by far than the NRA gives to Republicans and pro 2nd amendment democrats.

Blue Cross Blue Shield, a major health insurance company, poured more than 6 times as much money into lobbying as did the NRA. Morgan Stanley, a major investment bank, spent $4.8 million on lobbying in 2014 to the NRA's $3.3 million. Morgan Stanley was one of Clinton's top campaign donors.

Clinton and other Democrats have delivered speeches to the National Association of Realtors to raise money for her family's foundation. The realtor's lobby is one of the largest lobbies in the country.

The NRA gave $984,152 in 2014 contributions falling short of Planned Parenthood's $1,578,911.
The Sierra Club and the League of Conservation Voters, two influential environmental groups, also dwarfed the NRA's spending in this category.
But unions gave significantly more than both the abortion advocates and the green groups.

Republicans are really stupid. If they supported unions then unions would support them. But their focus is on the rich and not the middle class.

Yes, the Democrats do such a great job of supporting the middle class, don't they? Because nothing says "we love you" like importing labor to replace you with.

Same here. And an avid hunter. The NRA does not represent my values or core beliefs.

Screw them.

and I would have gladly agreed with him

This is what we do now. When we don't like something, we think of the worst possible thing we could call it to make them as evil and unlikeable as possible. Even though I don't agree with the NRA on much and I also know that there are issues with BLM and AntiFa. But neither are terrorist organizations. But by all means let's keep up the namecalling and blame game instead of actually talking through the issues.

"Their agenda" is our agenda and our rights.
