Although in many cases they don't realize it, nor would they ever admit it, many people on this site get their information from Russian trolls.
Here's a link from one member who posted a link to Russian posing as a US citizen on Twitter to spread lies. He claimed he was a classmate of David Hogg in Redondo Beach. Although pressed, this CD member has not verified either way whether he knew the post was from a Russian. This is a link to the post. //www.city-data.com/forum/51102445-post189.html
The linked twitter account has been removed, but I saved a screen shot. Note the geo-tagged location.

And how could they find those Russian posts so quickly?
And how could they find those Russian posts so quickly?
Following Twitter hashtags I'm assuming. I'm not a member there, so I'm no expert. From there they get widely spread on social media like on this forum.
I've said this before -- no one can claim they weren't affected by Russian trolls. The way propaganda works is by a steady drip of exposure and it will affect your thinking eventually. The Russians employed hundreds of trolls working around the clock. It is the largest propaganda campaign in history. If you're on social media, you've been exposed to it either directly or indirectly by people who have been directly exposed.
How would you know it if you did see one? Unfortunately I would be more likely to agree with a Russian post than a Democrat one. Russians have displayed some really conservative traits for the past few years. When Obama was finding fault with them I thought they were more in line than he was.
Funny that those of you that hate Russia so much seem to want to turn our country into a liberal Russia. I am against socialism and communism but socially I am more in line with traditional marriages and less liberal social trends. So it is possible that I have both liked and reposted troll posts without knowing it. If it is something I agree with, I fail to see why posting something I agree with should be a problem.
Everybody talks about how Russia is our enemy but I am not sure of that. A Bible scholar in my family says the last war will be fought in Russia. In a world war I wonder if Russia would not end up being our friend. We have fought in wars together before, I think. Correct me if I am wrong. America and Russia have a lot in common as superpowers. I think we don't need to be trying to be making enemies in today's political climate. We may end up needing each other to fight those crazy people in the Middle East. Just thinking but I don't have a crystal ball to know whether or not I am right.
Liberals call any pro Trump post on the Internet work of a Russian bot
Since no one openly admits to voting for trump that seems reasonable.
