A lot of people have gone out of their way to trivialize the students in Parkland who have vowed to get action on gun control. Ted Nugent has been claiming falsely that the spokespeople are actors paid by Soros. The Florida Legislature snubbed them. The NRA is terrified by them.
They may not be paid by Soros but make no mistake this meeting with Trump was orchestrated by ADULTS in a liberal county that voted for Hillary by a ratio of about 2 - 1. By putting emotional children on display they are able to shut down the debate and get sound bites attacking Trump. Instead of having a hard discussion on facts the left is able to put on more bash-Trump theater for the nightly news in advance of the 2018 elections.
Why didn't they protest outside FBI headquarters and outside the Broward County School Board?
Where are these people when MS-13 illegals and Muslim immigrants shoot people? The left inexplicably PROTECTS these people.

I don't blame the students for wanting to be safe but guns are not the answer. Treating people with respect is the answer. Love and understanding can cure many a problem. We need to be a kinder, gentler nation.
The mood in the country is one of exhaustion. People are exhausted with the lip service politicians pay to victims of mass shootings and their communities. I haven’t seen this much momentum and this much interest in gun control a week out from a shooting. I also have never witnessed communities telling politicians to keep their thoughts and prayers. This is different. People are exhausted with gun culture. We are done with it.

It's a little late for that after 17 funerals, don't you think? These kids are demanding action, not platitudes.
