Republicans want to allow insurance companies to scam people with these junk plans again. These low cost policies are basically the "payday loans" of health care. Allowing corporations to cheat poor, financially unsophisticated people out of what little money they do have fits right in with the GOP agenda.

Half a loaf is better than no loaf. Particularly if one cannot afford a whole loaf.

Or is that too much common sense for a liberal?

Your argument about saving money from premiums to pay for medical bills is absurd for many people in this country.

What does "less comprehensive" mean?

Letting people make their own choices is against the most fundamental principle of the leftist fanatic "big government" pushers.

Before long, ordinary people would start realizing we don't need liberals any more, and never did.

Gee, that would be terrible, wouldn't it?

Excercise caution. You get what you pay for.

The problem is, these policies will basically amount to charging for half a loaf and giving the purchaser a single slice. I've seen policies like these - it used to be pretty common for retailers and food service employers to offer them - and they are damn near worthless, with their high deductibles, low caps, and excessive exclusions.

It was a short story. Two minutes sounds about right. Three if you are slow.

You are absolutely right. I had a similar policy in the early 2000s when I was a waiter. I would have been better off throwing my money into the ocean, it covered NOTHING.
