CNN ran this story earlier about the 8 or 9 dead Russians after Steel's dossier came out

The big question is, will Manafort flip? If he doesn't, he'll never see daylight again. If he does, he has information on one person in particular that will be of interest to Mueller.

If he cuts a plea deal and walks after a few months, Putin's guys will never let him rest again during the rest of what may be a very short life with an abrupt and messy end.

Decisions, decisions...

That was interesting and makes me think Rohrabacher likely did get campaign money from sources that got it from the Russians to try to remove the sanctions
And one reason he might not be running is that he knows the precarious edge he is perched on right now
If Mueller wanted to I imagine he could find illegal activity but it likely doesn't lead to Trump or the election

Goes nicely with mendacious, no?

Have to figure out a way to work them both into my conversations. I have a feeling there may be opportunities coming soon.

If nothing else, the Mueller probe may help clean up the loosey goosey ways foreign lobbyists have operated in DC. Here is a good look at that from Newsday:

After Mueller Era of Impunity is Over for Foreign Lobbyists

Also, here are two background articles about Mueller. The guy earned a Purple Heart in Vietnam.

Muellers Reputation in Washington is Stunningly Bipartisan

Robert Mueller's Pursuit of Justice

Quote from the first article:

"Bob Mueller is probably about as apolitical and nonpartisan a figure as you could find in Washington, particularly at the levels of government in which he has served," Graff says. "This is someone who really, truly believes in truth, justice and the American way, in a way that very few people in American life today anymore do."

Note: Graff's wrote a 2011 book on Mueller, The Threat Matrix.

I dunno, but if you head on over to Twitter, Trump's having meltdowns, so he must be worried what Manafort's gonna do/say....

Well, I learned another word today from the President today: “braggadocios."

President's comment on Fox news today:

"I don’t want to sound braggadocios. I was a far better candidate. She was not a good candidate. She went to the wrong states."

At first, this made me think of the song from Mary Poppins -- you know, supercalafragilisticexpealadocious. But, turns out, it's a real word.

From Dictionary.com:

Braggadocious. noun, plural. 1. empty boasting 2. a boasting person; braggart.

My vocabulary sure is increasing at a rapid rate. This week alone from reading related to the Mueller investigation, I learned three new words: Mendacious, calumny, and now braggadocios.

Let's see, how might I be able to work all three into a conversation in the days ahead?

The twitching twitter finger does seem to be a precursor to news coming down the pike.
