It appears that new charges in the Manafort case may have been filed. Im guessing Gates has flipped and we are seeing the first results of that information.

Mueller seems to be accelerating the pace as of late
If there was any one thing our government did right recently, it was the appointment of Bob Mueller. The man is doing a superb job at exactly what he was put there to accomplish. Trump tried to discredit him, and Mueller just keeps plugging away. Trumpees try to say he is chasing windmills, and he keeps his focus on the job at hand.

If he ran for President, he would get my vote for sure.

My hunch is the Trump campaign was horrible with vetting. Trump probably overruled what should have been done. He is the sort of guy who looks someone in the eye and sizes them up. That might work in the business world but not in politics.

But sure, investigate away. Knock yourself out.

Yep. Them Russians don't take kindly to people going against them, and they are the best in the world at whacking someone very discreetly. A little pin prick and you are pushing up daisies.

Trump is doing everything he can to protect his buddy Putin, but the truth is starting to come out.

Well this is likely what the Mueller investigation is wrestling with. If Manafort has dirt that proves Russian collusion with Trump that might be his get out of jail free card. I don't see it. I could be wrong but the the way things are going it seems like Manfort was trying to save himself.

I have one more candidate for #PersonA

Ivan Fursin

He is also a Ukrainian businessman and linked with Manafort.

https://www.thedailybeast.com/muelle...rganized-crime

“Ivan Fursin was a senior figure in the Mogilevich criminal organization,” Taras Kuzio, a non-resident fellow at Johns Hopkins-SAIS’ Center for Transatlantic Relations and a specialist on the region told The Daily Beast."

I freely admit, neither #Firtash nor #Fursin, are fingered in the press as the possible mutual acquaintance in Gates' calls and emails with van der Zwaan.

However, nobody seems concerned to figure out who Mueller is keeping hidden from the public for now.

How bout those Red Soxs?

Not me. The U.S Government. Not democrats but the FBI.

Also, it was pretty stupid (and that is being kind) that the Trump Campaign got rid of Manafort but kept his business partner around.

Here's an interesting article, from 2007, discussing how Manafort "remade" Viktor F. Yanukovich's image in the Ukraine.

Fursin is an interesting supposition. There are certainly plenty of reasons while Mueller might want to hide him from full view for the time being.

Why are we bothered about charges. When somebody get convicted and punished then it will be news. "Maybe facing" is just gossip and not worth talking about.

Yet here you are.

There are plenty of threads that might be of more interest to you. One compares Trump to Churchill, of all people. That one's a hoot.
