Seems to me like the location should be opposite of Seattle... somewhere warm, sunny, slightly less urbanized, etc. to attract people with different preferences.
Austin or Phoenix would be perfect, but who am I to say...

My impression from reading the Amazon documents is they want to build an HQ, not use existing vacant space. Also they want it all consolidated onto one campus, not scattered around town. I cannot think of a single vacant commercial area that would accommodate Amazon's needs they outlined.
