I had to post this because some snowflakes had to express their discomfort at the concept.
It's not the first time it's been done, and I don't see what the issue is. Schindler was a German citizen who helped save the lives of many Jewish people.
Germany’s Nicole Schott took to the ice Friday, putting forth a beautiful figure skating performance with just one point of contention, the chosen music was the John Williams’ classic score from the film “Schindler’s List.” It’s a touchy subject to say the least, a German skate-dancing to “Schindler’s List”?

It's not surprising. A white person leave alone someone German can't hardly walk down the street without someone saying it was offensive and possibly connected to Nazism lol. I hesitate to even assume she's ethnically German with all the immigration going on.

Ethnically German? You mean, like, pure?
The skater's use of the music doesn't bother me, but somehow, your comment does.
I doubt she was making a political statement. It's a beautiful piece of music. On the other hand - and this is purely aesthetic - I usually like a composition with more contrast, more peaks and valleys, for a skating routine - something that really highlights the most difficult moves.

Leave it to yahoo to create a subject where there is none

She looks like a regular German, her name is all German, so why wouldn't she be German?
Except for those immigrants that deliberately want to set themselves apart from Germans because they actually don't even like Germany except for the money, the kids of former immigrants consider themselves ethnic Germans as well.
I'm not offended and I'm a second generation Holocaust survivor but at the same time I think it was a dumb decision.
The music from the movie is great. I wish the music was left to be where it belongs which is for the movie.
What does that even mean? Did you survive the Holocaust or not? You are not a Holocaust survivor just because your parents survived the Holocaust
