The linked study of gun owners by Pew found the following percentages of gun owners by group:

Age 50-64: 33%
Age > 64: 33%

Blacks: 24%
Hispanics: 15%
High School or <: 31%
Some college: 34%
College grads: 25%
Northeast: 16%
Midwest: 32%
South: 36%
West: 31%
Urban: 19%
Suburban: 28%
Rural: 46%

The demographics of gun ownership in the U.S. | Pew Research Center

If you look at how the demographic groups break down on gun ownership, it’s understandable that among the groups bailing on the NRA are airlines, car rental agencies and hotel chains, because the groups that are more likely to travel are those groups with fewer gun owners.

So the NRA can exist, and pay full price on stuff, just like any other unpopular organization can.
Lol. Or like most Americans?

Yep. That's why when I see leftists celebrating this and the Breitbart crowd complaining about this I realize just how out of touch they each are with their sacredly-held viewpoints.

Interesting information. About what I would expect although the fairly equal distribution of age groups is interesting. If you're a Democrat urban northeastern person, you would likely think gun ownership is rare. Explains some opinions I've seen.

same as most Americans.

AAA discounts will stay, of course, military, too.

They are not controversial, fringe groups.

It was just discounts given to members, a large number of which likely didn't even use. I never did.
I would argue no more extreme than that NRA spokesman saying the media loves these shootings, those dismissing it as a false flag operation and those attacking victims claiming they are actors.i feel that is hurting the NRA here more so than "the extremist students and parents." The NRA, their puppets (Rubio, Trump and the Florida State legislature) and the gun nuts are doing a good enough job on their own of turning people against them.

Summarization: Most gun owners are poorly educated white rural old republicans who live in the south or midwest united states.

Well, point of fact, it is a ratings bonanza for the profit motivated media. Sad reality, yes. Beyond that, you should know I didn't say anything about the students and parents being extremists. Reread what I said. I can understand their point of view because they just went through a trauma. Anger is a natural side effect of such a trauma. Otherwise, you're engaging in the usual derisive comments about gun owners and supporters of our rights. Good luck with that.
