Trump is a professional con artist. I cannot completely fault the people who voted for him because they were duped by a master of the art of the con, but I DO fault them for not only continuing to support him now, but obviously distorting facts and reality to do so. Even on this silly right-wing forum, we've had Trump compared to various religious figures, god himself, the 2nd coming of Jesus, and a "savage barbarian warrior king." Yeah... a guy who can barely toddle to his golf outings is a "barbarian king." Sure he is. We're also to believe that before Trump "people couldn't say merry Christmas without fear," and he prevents plane crashes.
In such a world of self-deluded cultists, it's no wonder they'll believe whatever they are told by the NRA. Meanwhile, even Trump is considering gun restrictions, which could be the first useful things that arrogant lump of ooze has done in his whole life.
As others have said, the NRA and other gun nuts had best come to the table with sane proposals, lest ythis whole thing blow up in their face and they get something far worse than what they wanted.
LMAO. Yep those Cult45ers are a hoot! If they don't have their Faux News and their firearms grafted to them, they'd run for their safe spaces faster than a cockroach when the lights are switched on!!
Something bad NOT happening is somehow a testimonial the the " greatness" of their morally bankrupt Saviour, which in turn leads them to shout MAGA from the rooftops until their medications kick in.
You are right that the Hopolophobes make no sense.
After some months of observing the Hopolophobes on here,
I expected nothing less than the nonsensical perversion
of logic that I see from them, in this thread.
Of course, most of their assumptions about me are as far
from the mark as their ideas of how to stop school shootings.
Laws don't stop violent criminals bent on predation,
good guys with guns stop them.
Complaining that a company is getting involved in politics by cutting off ties to another company that you support that is involved in politics? Excellent.
The NRA's reason for existence is politics. A bank's reason for existence is profit and, secondarily, to serve its customers. Your analogy isn't analogous.
With every generation after us, the NRA will keep losing power. It's already happening. People are tired of the gun violence.
Considering that most violence stems from Leftist social policies and constituents, I'd say that America will take it with a grain of salt when a leftist declares that the NRA will keep losing power and that the the solution for gun violence lies outside of reforming the Left.
They better sign up a helluva lot of members to take up the slack when no corporation in America wants to be associated with them any more. It's either make it on dues or they're gonna have to wire Vlad to send them an advance.
The outrage and boycott stages are just that...a phase/stage. The same things were said back after the vegas shooting, they are all temporary. The publics attention span is very short, in a week, you will not hear a thing about this anymore.
Just look pages back on this board, after some recent mass shootings, the stages of this cycle are very easy to see.
