It is simply wonderful to see Trumpees get so up in arms about something that has zero effect on their life whatsoever. I bet they are all taking blood pressure pills right now.
Notice how we never mention Obama, or Hillary, but Trumpees are drawn like a moth to a flame. I think that they secretly would like to have him back, but aren't ready to come out and say it yet.
Obama was expressing his frustration that half of the American public continues to stubbornly insist on retaining their independent thinking functions. He was complaining that there are "two different realities" in our country, which refers to the reality of the independent thinking people, noted above, and the reality of the media-orchestrated "Political correctness" crowd, which he apparently thinks is the more admirable 'reality' of the two.
Obama went on to insist that the large social media companies are "a public good as well as a commercial enterprise," which leaves the impression that he thinks the governement, presumably led by him, or at least someone who is an enthusiastic participant in his prefered 'reality', should be more directly involved in directing the actities of these organizations.
Also, Obama is concerned that these companies are "corroding our democracy," which appears to mean that he is seriously peeved that these media companis continue to facilitate the dissemination of thoughts and ideas from the 'other' reality, which he clearly regards as dangerous and as something that should be stopped.

There are two realities the Sean Hannity, Alex jones and then there is the rest. The social media did damage our democracy, there are people that will believe just about anything they can find if it reinforces their views.
I really appreciate you guys keeping us up to date on everything Obama and Hillary do. We, on the left, tend to forget about them occasionally, but we can always count on your side to alert us to everything they are doing.
The former president was scheduled to appear at a sports analytics conference hosted by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Friday. But if you were not an attendee at the event, don’t expect to hear much about what Barack Obama shared.
Officials managing the 12th annual MIT Sloan Sports Analytics Conference at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center have put strict rules in place that extend beyond barring the media from divulging Obama’s insights.
...
Obama “will discuss his time in office and the next chapter of his life” while here, according to a conference newsletter that came out when the announcement about the former president’s panel was made last month.
NBA's Rockets' GM Morey announced Obama's visit via Twitter last month.
Interesting... he will divulge the supposed enemy his plans for war... this he wants to keep secret.
Well, in that case, kudos to Daryl Morey. Everyone's favorite fake "president" can no longer afford to keep secrets. Not in the internet age.
I bet that the staff had to wipe down the oil of his chair.
