Just like how the OP started this is not how you get people to listen to you.

Besides you are wrong. You NEVER need a permit to peacefully assemble. This is a lie the government tells you and why I will not cede any right to them.

Thanks for the great information OP but no doubt it will be lost on the anti gun crowd if they even bother to read it.

The thing is they all want to ban the scary black guns but they don't realize that there are more powerful rifles out there. When they realize that then those too will be on the list to ban.
They won't be happy until we are reduced to shotguns and BB guns.

Of course I would rather not be shot at all but if given a choice would you rather take a round from a AR15 or a shotgun blast from a close proximity? The difference is a neat little hole or chunks of flesh being removed. When you consider a mass shooting most of the time the shooter is in close quarters with the victims. I think the damage would be far more grisly with a shotgun and more deaths would result.

It is all terrible.

Wow. You sure you don’t want to drop a Moderator cut: PROFANITY, RACE BAITING and by-passing the profanity filter in there too?

One point of note is most NATO allies don't use the M16/M4 standard issue, UK uses the SA80 (formerly the L1A1SLR) Germany the G36, Australia the F88 (Modified AUG), France FAMAS transitioning to the HK416 which while cosmetically looks like an M16/AR-15 uses short stroke gas piston, not direct impingement, so it's really an entirely different rifle. There pretty much are no NATO forces other than the US using the M16/M4 platform, nor does Israel (Tavor), nor any Scandinavian NATO by proxy, not even Saudi.

So you're wrong bucko, the M16 hasn't been anyone's choice but the US for 40 years. Which makes all the rest of your ludicrous claims equally credible. I suggest you stop now before embarrassing yourself further, but, it's probably falling on deaf ears.

Again.. your are not winning any argument. You going down the losers avenue of picking on minute details, to somehow make someone not have a valid argument.

Most SF has used Stoner variant rifles for 30 years.. and they get to choose what works best. What the general army uses is up to bean counters.

Some mass shooters may zero their sights, but, if they're proficient enough to do that, banning an AR won't achieve anything. They'll just pick a different rifle, like a Mini-14, Tavor...
So the answer is to ban all high capacity semi-automatic rifles. Agreed.

Columbine used 12 gauge shotguns and an intratec 9mm pistol.
Nothing high capacity about a 12 gauge shotgun...

What we are saying is, the implement will change.

You haven't addressed intent, incentive, nor motive.

That won't stop criminals from getting them. There are tens of millions in circulation now. It will only keep the law abiding from having them. Also, it is the magazine that gives many of these rifles its Standard Capacity in which it was designed. There are even more magazines in circulation. This isn't a small country like Australia.

The answer is to stop criminals from being able to act. Law Enforcement had every opportunity to stop this guy. They failed. Address that issue.

Might as well ban all high capacity semi-automatic handguns and shotguns then also, right? That's only 97% of the arms bought in the last 60 years. Then you can ban all the bolt action that holds multiple rounds.

"Weapons or War" A favorite Hillary / Liberal term.

Hell, they're all Weapons of War. They are all as dangerous as the AR-15.

That will be next on the agenda.

It's stupid to think they will not pick something else. The "ban" is also what caused the (R)'s make large gains. It will happen again.

No answer as to why we shouldn't concentrate on what we can do and what would be a winning platform?
You only repeat history if you do not learn from the past.

Not re-upping the ASW Ban was a mistake by the GOP.
