Seems like lately that high school students have been widely staging walkouts over gun issues, racial issues, etc.

If little Johnny or Susie walks out to protest and , while crossing the street/holding a sign/whatever, gets run over by a bus, isn't the school held liable?

Who pays for the medical bills of those children shot up during a school shooting?

How so? If my friends and I got in a wreck back in the 80s when we cut, should the school have been reposible?

And ALWAYS following the liberal agenda. And they say the schools are only about education (which they're failing at in many cities) and not about indoctrination.

What parent wouldn’t want their kid to stand up for what they believe in?

Bravo! These young people realize they have a voice. I suggest that they all exercise their right to freedom of speech loudly.

We have all handed them the keys to the poor house, in a manner of speaking. As such, they should march in protest about their concerns and their future.

These "kids" are almost of voting age, and they are going to remember the politicians who gave lip service to this very serious problem, and they will take those memories to the voting booth.

It was the young people in the late 60's who forced the government to stop the madness in Vietnam, and it will be the young people today who bring an end to the madness happening in their schools.......schools where they should be safe and only for education.

The longer they stay out of government school, the better. Maybe enrollment will drop so much government schools will have to be abolished.

Ironically, they are safer on the streets than in school. If someone tries to attack them, at least there’s a chance a CPL holder could defend them.

A school around here had a walk out, but many of the parents got angry because they claimed their kids had no ideas on what they were actually trying to accomplish thru this. One friend of mine has 2 girls at the high school, and told her girls to stay in their classrooms unless they KNEW why they were participating in the walk out.
