Retired four-star Army general: Trump

A retired four-star Army general said that he believes that President Trump is a “serious threat to US national security.”

Retired Gen. Barry McCaffrey tweeted Friday that he reached the conclusion about Trump because the president “is refusing to protect vital US interests from active Russian attacks.”

“It is apparent that he is for some unknown reason under the sway of Mr. Putin,” he added.

Didn't the Trump administration tell us to trust in the Generals? Wouldn't want to mess around with THEM! Right?

Absolutely right. I have a great deal of trust in our US Army Officers. They are highly knowledgeable and self disciplined. Whatever their private political views, they put service to our Country first.

When a highly decorated, highly respected Four Star General speaks out in such a fashion, we need to shut off the info-tainers on Fox and pay attention. Our Country is at stake.

Anyone with half a brain knows that Trump is about the worst thing to happen to this country in a very long time. I can not imagine a worse example of a man for us to hold up to the rest of the world as a symbol of who we are as a nation.

That General is absolutely correct, and he is not alone. Almost everyone who has contact with Trump has made quiet remarks about how stupid he is, and they have questioned his mental state. Trump is the village idiot for sure.

Trump himself has said he could shoot someone with no repercussions, why should we believe he'd be concerned about something minor(in his eyes) like selling out to foreign interests?

To be fair, Trump said he could shoot someone on 5th avenue and not lose voters.

There still might be repercussions from the legal system.

That’s the most honest thing he’s ever said.

I don't understand why the Republicans in the house and senate aren't paying attention to guys like this general and do something to protect us against Russian interference since our president clearly won't do it.

Because they’re just as bad as Trump.

Republicans made a deal with the devil. They support Trump and they get his low information voters.

They cross Trump, and they're toast. There aren't enough clueless voters left to win elections.

This is why they are fine with Nunes' nonsense and are afraid to stand up to Putin.

You Leftists are so phony. If some general says Trump is great for national security, you’d dismiss him. If some general blasts Trump, he is someone the Congress needs to listen to. LOL.

Everyone’s got an opinion and biased and that includes generals as well. For every democrat general that hates Trump like this guy, I am sure we can find 10 generals that supports Trump.

Of course, when that happens, the same Leftists haters here will then try to spin that as Trump being a warmonger and that is why generals like him.
