With the ridiculous total cost of HC in this country there is no "great" solution. ACA has nothing to do with the cost. The only possible mechanism in it to reign in costs was the public option and it could not be passed for obvious reasons.

This is an issue with any insurance. You can't cover pre-existing conditions for instance if you start allowing people in and out. Everybody young and healthy will stay out, and sign up later when they need expensive treatment.

Again, we are spending more than 10k per capita (and not everybody is covered) . For a family of 4 the grand total is 40k. There is no free lunch, somebody needs to pick the tab, and if it is not the employer or the tax payer, it is the insured, as simple as that. So unless that 10k is lowered there is no way out.

Trumpcare? No such thing.

Obamacare is still the law of the land.

The delusion of the leftists has to be seen to be believed.

How do think ACA was supposed to work without the individual mandate? Trump has killed off any possibility of a market-based solution to health care. Now we either move to single payer or stick with the Republican crony-capitalist model.

If Obamacare was so good, then it should not need a mandate. Don't you agree?

What is that supposed to mean? The mandate was a critical part of the program, without which it doesn't work.

That's like saying "if this car was so good, then it would not need an engine to run". Absurd

The "law and order" candidate is actively trying to sabotage the law. He owns it now. The Republicans have been too chicken to come up with their own replacement from the ground up despite controlling all branches of government. Largely because Obamacare was also largely the same thing as RomneyCare and has been a Republican idea for a long time.

Obamacare (ACA) does exist, currently the law of the land, costing trillions

Obamacare was a package of laws and regulations. When you change the package of laws and regulations, it's not Obamacare anymore. It's some bastardization that whoever initiated the changes owns. #Trumpcare

If I replace cheese with pasta sauce in a recipe, I can't keep calling the finished product mac & cheese.
