There are some seriously sick people on here.

One of the worst things about ISIS is its public display of execution and torture. Is that really what we want for ourselves?

Dear God.

Yep, it worked so well that after the first two or three hangings, no one ever committed a crime again.

Albert Pierrepoint, England's hangman, hung over 400 people - did that stop anybody from committing a crime?

Yup, spend a morning listening to the words of an ancient Jewish pacifist then head off to watch some people being executed. If there was ever a better example of cognitive dissonance at work I have yet to find it.

Yah, it is a good idea, but how many states even actually execute anyone at all these days? CA hasn't executed anyone in like, 20 years. All the death row inmates, and there are like 750 of them now, are all just going to die old men in prison. Its a travesty of justice - they're sitting around getting cable TV and three meals a day and recreation time and its costing us a fortune.

They need to quit allowing all these endless appeals. Get back to the firing squad.

What kind of sick person would want to watch an execution? The US should abolish the death penalty, it is a barbaric act of revenge that no civilized nation should engage in. Why would anyone want the US justice system to resemble something you would find in the ISIS caliphate?

Oh yeah. The conservatives will love it. It's so authoritarian.

If I'm not mistaken some countries had public caning's as well. I would bet that if this law was in place people would be less likely to do stupid crap. I think we should do away with death row if found guilty taken out back and shot, or whatever it would save us tax payers a lot of money.

After?

Why not during church services? It could have been incorporated into the sermon. After the hanging, did everyone say Amen?

No thank you.

School shooters usually die at the scene. By their own hand or that of the police.

Have you not figured this out by now?

They DO NOT CARE if they die. Most of them want to.

Here's the thing we have people who have been in jail several times and it doesn't seem to worry them about going back in. So what's the answer if not one or some of these ideas?
