When we Republicans overplayed our hand and pushed so hard for the Clinton impeachment, we paid for it by losing seats in the election. Voters went Democrat!
Obama used that point when the Birthers started their crap. He let them go on and on, knowing their vote was never going to be available to him, anyway. They made nuisance of themselves and accomplished little.
I say leave her alone. Her followers have dug in and cannot be dissuaded. NO reason to make a martyr out of her.
