Now, if this was a religious organization of the non-Christian variety, I wonder what the reaction would have been.
hmmm perhaps instead of looking at this issue from a second amendment point of view, we need to look at it from a first amendment point of view. perhaps gun owners should create their own religion. call it the church of the firearm. worship the christian god from whom our rights come, and have a list of saints like st john stoner, st samuel colt, st john browning, st william winchester among others.
they can even create brother and sister hoods, like the sisters of the .380, brothers of the .30-.30, etc.
they could even make wayne lapierre a reverend in the church.
Oh are those church goers police officers and EMS responders? I didn't know.
Ah, so you are saying it's not the gun, it's the person that makes the difference. That's what NRA has been saying; there are no good guns or bad guns. You are confused. Try again.

Yeah which is why we want better background checks...
I actually don't believe this is Christian at all. But they themselves call it a Christian church.
That's not what you said. You clearly said they are "Christian nonetheless", meaning what they call themselves is what matters. ISIS has been calling themselves Muslims but Obama tells them you are not!
A commitment ceremony with their assault weapons. Sounds like a group who wouldn't qualify to own such weapons following a mental health check.
Kinda like all the homosexual marriage garbage, eh? The jokes on them cause they can't breed. So no matter how much they clamber for equality they'll never be equal. They shoulda just married an AR15 for all the good that'll do.

Funny, because the rest of us have been asking for background checks, training requirements, insurance etc. be requirements for the persons, not the guns.

Yes, I did.
But I personally do not believe this is a Christian way to act.
I can believe both you know.
1. They believe they are Christian and carrying out the word of God.
2. I don't believe Christianity is about guns and ammo.
