Liberals operate from fear? Who are the ones warning that we are going to be invaded by a foreign power, or the tyrannical government is coming to confiscate your guns, or armed intruders are going to invade your home, and therefore we all need lots of guns? Those are the fear-mongers.
The thing I fear most are the right-wing fanatics who define tyranny as government expecting you to pay taxes, or charging a fee to graze your cattle on public lands. These fools running around with loaded guns make me nervous.

Well, what do you expect from a tyrannical Govt? Of course they are going to try to disguise tyranny and limit what a citizen can legally possess.
Its not about owning a nuke either, they are not used as weapons, they are more of a deterrent, do you think our govt would be enacting tyrannical laws and regulations if it knew a militia possessed a nuclear missile?
The 2nd amendment is VERY clear, the well regulated militia (the people today), must always have access to the same 'caliber' of weapons commonly used by its military.
Just so that we are clear it is explicitly the job of SCOTUS to interpret the Constitution.

Any foreign invader would have a cake walk killing you and your family. Do you actually think the government has the capacity to keep you safe? Think again. They couldn't keep those school kids safe.

Those who want to disarm Americans just do not understand the we Americans have a right to defend ourselves. If we were invaded by a foreign entity as in the history of many countries,we would be an easy target to round up and kill.
Don't say it is far fetched. We have well documented events that this has happened time and time again. Our forefathers wanted to protect us and not leave us Americans defenseless against foreign or domestic threats.
Those attacking the NRA are actually taking our rights away. Many people do not understand this fact.
The NRA only cares about you when you're at a counter someplace, wallet out, buying a gun.

If you were invaded by a foreign entity that entity would have had to defeat the American military, theres no country on Earth right now that could achieve success in that regard, so if it came down to it your little guns would be no match for a conquering force that just wiped out the American military.

I value all of our rights, whether or not I actively need or take advantage of them, I want to know they are there and fully intact. The act of weakening any of them weakens the entire set of them and makes it easier to go after others.
