"Delta's CEO says the company supports the Second Amendment.
CEO Ed Bastian said in a memo to employees Friday that the company's goal was to "remain neutral" in the debate over guns.
The airline ended a discount for the NRA after the school shooting in Florida. That angered Georgia Republican lawmakers, who retaliated by killing a tax break for jet fuel."
Well, good for Delta. By not offering a discount to one particular group over others they are remaining neutral. Seems like a good plan to me.
Then there's this:
"There's a good chance Delta will get its tax break, anyway. On Wednesday, Deal promised to find "a pathway forward for the elimination of sales tax on jet fuel, which is nonnegotiable."
So basically this was a PR stunt by the Georgia Republicans to con their constituents into thinking they're going after big, bad old Delta for dissing the NRA, when in reality they're doing nothing.

So Delta CEO tells their employees one thing and CNN another. I wonder how long the Delta board is going to keep him around
We will see. Jim Cramer had an interesting take on it today. Big companies now seem concerned about losing valuable employees over social issues. Apparently it is a millennial thing.
Its un-American not to support the right to protect yourself.
Un-American to choose to remain neutral?
