Funny after all the years about how awful and greedy the 1% are , now Dems in CA and other high tax states are rushing to help the 1%ers

The reason ? In CA for example the 1% pay almost HALF of the tax revenue . If the rich left CA the state would be totally screwed .

The new tax law is not good for the wealthy in high tax states and I wouldn’t be surprised if many change their primary residence to Nevada , Florida , Texas etc .

Is this evidence that California is now realizing that the way they run their liberal state is not working as well as they had hoped? Liberalism/ Socialism is all good until the other people that are paying for it run out of money.

Is this also evidence that the Dems are wrong when they told us that Trump's tax plan would hand out crumbs to the middle class working man and make the rich even richer?

I'm starting to suspect that when it comes to Trump the Left tells us nothing but lies...

The Democrats have always gone after the 1%. They just try and do so quietly. Every party wants their money.

Trump's tax plan allows private planes to be tax deductible. Are Trump supporters really now going to say it's Democrats trying to help the 1%? Really?

Private planes are generally used for business purposes . Most business expenses are already tax deductible .

Plus non billionaires are working on building and working on those jets .

I say that’s a good thing . More demand for jets more jobs etc.

We have someone that didnt read the article here...this is about state and local taxes, not private planes

Democrats in California and New Jersey want to convert state and local taxes into charitable contributions.

Am I missing something?

Under the new tax law, local taxes are not fully deductible. So in high-tax states, such as California and New Jersey, the 1% will be paying a lot more.

Shouldn't this read "everyone that pays taxes will be paying more"?

This argument makes no sense whatsoever.

Everyone paying more but the wealthy would have more incentive to move .

The wealthy usually have more flexibility of where they can work from especially in today’s world with the Internet .

The average person is unlikely to move because they can’t deduct local taxes .
