Unhinged? Exaggerate much? We are merely having a discussion. Sorry, but our heads are not "exploding," as you and other Trump supporters are so fond of saying. We're not going postal, we're not shrieking, we're not rioting, and we're not throwing things. Are we upset? Maybe. Ultimately there is no difference between 5-4 SC rulings and 6-3 rulings anyway. A conservative SC will decide as they will. And their rulings will be no different than they would have been without Kennedy's retirement. It is only a matter of mathematics. And as for guessing on how long Justice Next will be affecting rulings, that is also speculation. Probably a long long time, but who knows?

Ultimately, you did what you felt was right, so my opinion shouldn’t matter to you.
Your opinion matters to me when you try to belittle how others who voted similar to me did vote. Just political bullying and I'll step in and explain the logic behind it every time I see people like you belittle the practice.

And "where we are" might not be palatable to you, but again that changes nothing for me. While I'm not 100% behind the current administration, I'm also fairly confident I would be equally unhappy about where we would be with Hillary at the helm.

Thanks for playing, but you lose.
A decision 40 years ago that no longer applies to current times, its reversal was an adaptation to the current times without major impacts and a rare case to happen.

we are talking about social issues of great impact that move with national animus and jurisprudence throughout the federal territory, with infinite implications, and issues that would be open.

This is not a game, no one wins or loses, this is a democratic nation the constitution and the judges act in a way to protect it, so that tomorrow a barnie sanders do not become a president and change the American national anthem to the anthem of the socialist international

As I said, YMMV (your mileage may vary). My opinion stands.

That's just it. Kennedy was considered a moderate by some and a conservative by others. Replacing him with someone who is right of center makes no difference. Almost no one considered him a liberal so all the crying and end of the world tantrums should be saved for when RBG steps down or a health issue forces her to stop being a Justice since she's the poster child of a liberal activist judge.
Then the left will have something to really cry about if this happens under any Republican administration.

The SCOTUS should NOT be politically biased, but, we've all seen how the left manipulated that to their advantage over many years. The only reason their heads are exploding now is because they know what THEY have done on the SCOTUS and Circuit courts ... and now fear getting a dose of what they've handed-out.

Better hurry while there is still a nuclear option for confirmation.

Democrats were cheated out of a SC seat. But you are right about one thing, we are watching and taking notes about how the right lies and cheats to hold power.

But the right will not hold all the power forever. And payback will be a *****.
