I think it's fair to ask why the SRO stood around outside and then told other officers not to go in. I don't believe that's a gun issue at all, but rather a do you freaking job issue for a LEO!

Oh it gets better...

Do some research into the captain on the scene Jan Jordan 17S1 for the Ineptitude goes from the SRO to the top.

Go further and look at broward county schools and their little deal with police to keep kids in school by not charging them with crimes... (psst money makes the world go round, schools get federal funding by attendance )

The unarmed man in Italy who knocked out his armed attacker didn't need one either. The vid was posted in this forum by ANOTHER pro gunner.
So no not everyone needs a gun to solve EVERY situation.
In Parkland case- they kinda debunked your " good guy with a gun" theory. It'll take more than arming every life form in America to stop Parkland type incidents, but you gun nuts don't want that. You all STILL want the "arm everybody and out gun em" macho solutions, which is ironic since most of you couldn't take care of a wet dream without arming yourselves to the hilt.

Justices Rule Police Do Not Have a Constitutional Duty to Protect Someone - The New York Times

Supreme Court rules, police do not have a responsibility to protect you.

Parkland debunk my theory, it proved my theory. When seconds matter, help is minutes away, or hiding outside in the bushes because it's a cushy job with benefits...

It's clear the cop screwed up.

It is clear there was chaos and it was mishandled.
It is clear that the guy in charge is also liable.

Just saw a story that two members of the SWAT team did enter the school in an attempt to find the gunman.

They've both been suspended pending disciplinary action because apparently the "don't enter the school" was a serious thing.

So now that's 5 officers who could have helped and didn't or were told not to. But yeah, it's about gun laws.
