First, great title for a thread! Especially this thread.
Here's what I want to know. First we heard that this SRO waited outside before going on. Then we learned three otehrs waited as well, but that "Command" told them not to go in. Today I read that the same POS SRO that didn't go in told the other officers not to go in. It sounds like he was "Command." Right?
Sounds like Broward Deputy Scot Peterson acted like the gunman's look out and working in concert with him to make sure his crime spree was uninterrupted.

And another possible conspiracy theory is perhaps born.

Are y'all serious? What possible motive would the SRO have? Oh. never mind.
There are a lot of good cops out there, but the trend seems to be they are more government revenue collectors now than an actual crime intervention force. The obsession, and cliché now is that we all have to go home at night. Well, I hope, and pray they do, but those 17 kids sure didn't. The police are so militarized today, they also seem much more intimidating, even in routine traffic stops. Well use your swat vests for something, huh?
