Today is Memorial day, a day we honor the brave men and women of this country that lost their lives in war defending the home they believed in and loved.
I wonder what is going on today in the Southern states that have removed monuments to men that fought for what they believed in during the Civil War?
Are there any flags being flown in the parks where the statues and monuments used to stand or have they and their history already been forgotten?
People in the North and South primarily honor those who died more recently... sons, fathers, grandfathers in WW1, WW2, Korea, Vietnam, Afghanistan and Iraq.

Exactly! Defending the country against real threats to democracy and freedom...not the threat of taking away the ownership of other human beings who had no freedom. And sadly, Viet Nam, Iraq and Afghanistan were total wastes of American lives and wars we should never have been involved with.

Memorial Day is still alive and well in the south. Silly rabbit.
I'm not sure about flags, but the National Military Cemetery in Fredericksburg, VA will have its annual ceremony where 15,300 luminaria are lit, one for each buried soldier. Taps will be played every 30 minutes. The cemetery has Civil War soldiers from both sides buried there; however, there will be special emphasis placed this year, the centennial of WW1, on the 40 WW1 soldiers who are also buried there. Believe me, the sight of 15,300 luminaria glowing in the dark is incredibly impressive and moving.

I honor my relatives including my Father that fought on Omaha Beach and my great great grandfather that fought under Robert E. Lee and long forgotten relatives that fought against the British.
I am a Massachusetts liberal who has been living in the south for a decade. I assure you, here in Georgia we respectfully celebrate national holidays. We appreciate history, honor our heroes and don’t need those like CCT to try and spark divisions.
OP is clearly out to cause/stir the pot on division, good try but many of us are doing great in the South and laugh at this stupidity.
keep trying to spread hate.
