But no previous EPA leaders have had such a setup. The agency has long maintained a SCIF on a separate floor from the administrator’s office, where officials with proper clearances can go to share information classified as secret. Pruitt’s aides have never specified what aspects of that facility might be outdated, or whether the unit now inside the administrator’s office meets the physical and technical specifications generally required for a SCIF.

Why would the head of the EPA need a soundproof room? This guy is a swamp monster.

Ok, that's not bad.

Everyone get back to work. Gotta pay taxes to have this room constructed!

Next, he will claim he needs Gold platted reading glasses because they are more environmentally friendly.

I guess he is taking the leave no trace ethos to whole new level.

Same here... What the hell does anyone in the EPA need a secret room to discuss screwing us over, for?

I agree. Why should they have a soundproof room?

Trump is 100% right in taking down the EPA.

It's become a monster and serves no useful purpose these days.

Trump appointed Pruitt.

Pruitt wants a sound- proof booth, reportedly so he can have private convos with Trump.

Why would he need a sound- proof room to talk to Trump when none of the others do?

Why not meet in the oval?

EPA chief doesn't want others to hear about all the poisons he wants to add to the air, water and land (and to your body and your children). Simple.
