The point is that a gun serves a single purpose: to kill. There is no other purpose for a gun. Period.
Freely allowing people to purchase an item designed to kill needs to change. If that takes an amendment, so be it. That's what these students are fighting for.
Blow up mines.
Shoot shot lines over to other ships for underway replenishment.
Take out the optics on tanks.
Destroy radios.
Take out the engine on a truck and put its occupants on foot.

Kudos to you for actually just stating you want the 2A abolished. Many here play ring around the rosy saying they are okay with guns , just not scary looking black ones.
So, if you are okay with the 2A gone, what about the 1st ? 4th or 5th ?
Also, what do we do with the 200 million firearms already in circulation ? When AU had their ban, 600,000 were turned it, which they estimate was only a 5th of all the firearms they have.
No they don't. Not if you have heard any of them. Most of them sound like idiots. They are clueless little lemmings. They don't understand why we have the Second Amendment. They think it is for hunting.
Not as "idiotic" as all the people on CD who "think" it's for Protecting themselves and their family from intruders. All of those "idiots" apparently don't understand that the reason we have the second amendment is due to the necessity of having a WELL REGULATED MILITIA to insure the SECURITY OF A FREE STATE.
There was a time when walking out of school, because you feel "entitled" meant you got your ass whipped at school and later by your parents.
Today they will give the little dears participation certificates for it.
Never mind getting a basic education instead. This is more important than math, science, basic literacy. In 10 years they will be popping pills and stuck with $100K debt racked up from the same nonsense.
Now with your connie party and Devos, they might even rack up debt for finishing high school.

Nearly half my students participated in todays activities (which btw happened during our lunch). That included more than a dozen students who have already received their LOAs for the service academies. They are not entitled snowflakes and shame on your for calling young men and women who are going to dedicate their lives to serving their countries "entitled snowflakes" just for participating in a national protest for school safety.
Good for them. Get them hopping to it to get 38 states' legislatures to Ratify a Constitutional Amendment that alters Constitutional Rights, Ă la the 19th and 26th Amendments. Snap to it!!! Pronto!!!
You're making fun of the idea and implying that altering the constitution is a pipe dream. It took nearly 100 years to get the 19th amendment passed giving women the right to vote, and back in the 1800s Susan B. Anthony and Elizabeth Cady Stanton didn't have social media. Don't think it can't happen again.
The reason why other countries have less violent crime is because situations like the one above is less likely to result in death because a gun is less likely to be used.
In the U.S, not only are you allowed to have a gun, but so does the attacker. And they have the benefit of surprise.
double edged sword. Attacker may have had a gun, but gun control also and more often prevents a good person from having one to. The constitution is a double edged sword just like how the 4th and 5th amendments allowed this guy to remain free.
I see some calling for testing, license and insurance to have a gun. So like I said earlier when a driver street drag races and plows into a mini van killing a family how did a test, a license and insurance prevent that? It' didn't.

No, I am not. And, in fact, I gave two examples in which such was done.
