Probably most small business owners think about what to do if this happens to them.

In a situation like that most store owners/management will tell you to give the robber the money so no one will get hurt.
If you use force and the perp hurts himself in trying to escape he can then sue the store and the people involved.
If you pick up a gun and shoot the robber then you had better be 100% sure that you are in the right and even if you are you will be arrested and probably brought to a trial.

It is sad that a criminal that chooses to rob you has just as many rights as the unsuspecting innocent victim.

It would be very difficult to watch some scum bag beating up on your mom so I think the daughter did the right thing except by the angle she could have easily shot her mom.

I have no problem with gun owners unless they own assault weapons or they modify guns to change them to automatic weapons.

Glad they could protect themselves.

I don't understand the thinking of these women. They first cooperated with the robber and then locked him in the store...?

I would support them firing on him if they had a chance as he entered the store, but if he was heading out the door, locking him in was taking on a lot of risk.

They wanted to make sure he was captured so he couldn't do it again to someone else.

Too bad they didn't kill him.

Yeah but it could've turned out very differently. I don't know what happened to the robber's shotgun but he very nearly took their gun away and shot them with it, or just beat them to a pulp. By locking the door these women very nearly bit off more than they could chew. It wasn't smart to lock him in the store.

This will be a huge deterrent to crime in that area. When would be victims shoot their attackers it sends a message to others. He would have ran at the first shot had the door been open, though. I'm not sure the police would have let him live, though.

That was awesome! How many bullets did that guy take? I would have aimed for the head.

Exactly, they took a huge chance by locking him in. They are lucky to be alive themselves.
