Bye Matt, don't let the door hit you on the way out...
From the NYPost -
"Matt Damon is moving his family to Australia — in part because the liberal star’s fed up with President Trump.
Damon, 47, reportedly has purchased a property in Byron Bay, New South Wales, according to Sydney’s Sunday Telegraph. The home’s next door to a place owned by Chris Hemsworth — with whom Damon recently appeared in “Thor: Ragnarok.”
Damon will find out that Australia has its share of stupid right-wing nut jobs. Not as nuts as the ones here, of course; but still pretty nuts. Hell, one of the kings of right-wing nuts, Rupert Murdoch, is from Australia.
Now he gets to pay US tax plus Australian tax on top for whatever is in excess of the US tax. (which is a lot for a rich guy). Of course he's got SO much money that rapacious taxes won't hurt him or cramp his lifestyle in any way (financial hardship and lifestyle cramping due to taxation is for the little people.)
Byron Bay is pretty nice. Far enough from the city to not be crowded and the location means the average beachside property is only 6-10M instead of 20M and up like in Malibu.
Disclaimer, I like Damon, he's one of my favorite actors to watch, and I think he does a great job. However, I dislike a lot of his politics.

Can't fault a father for that.
