Can the Parkland children "save" America?

Well, they are living proof that, despite all the government "gun control" schemes that have been tried for decade after decade, school shootings and other mass murders keep right on happening, with no apparent reduction, and even picking up the pace lately.

In other words, they are proof that government "gun control" is a complete failure.

Maybe the best thing they can do for their country is to get people realizing that a different method of reducing mass murders, is needed. Just calling for the same old govt schemes that have already failed, to be repeated over and over, isn't making it.

Actually it does......... read where I said enforce all of the laws on the books now..... there are several that address mental health. Also read what I wrote about HIPPA laws and background checks. As to mental health issues themselves I believe we as a country need to do much more than we do, but do not tie it to the gun issue directly as that ends up killing anything that can be done at all. Mental health laws and programs should be addressed as a separate issue only related to guns when a background check is done or an incident occurs that is dealt with by the authorities. This way laws can be passed on both mental health and guns.

The press, social media, word of mouth......... all of these expose people and ideologies for what they are.

This is simply not true........... there are many who would take away all guns if possible. Maybe not you, but there are many.

I'm sure they are, we all are , and we all would like to see it stop. So after all these "changes" have been done (bump stocks, minimum ages, etc. ) what is going to happen the next time one of these tragedies happens ?
Not one thing that has been said by the politicians, the media, these kids has addressed the lonely angry kid that just holds everything inside until he snaps, the bullied kid that is fed up and wants revenge, or the mentally ill kid that has all these things happen to him and is ready to go off the deep end.

- Mental evaluation

Why not have the mentally ill person that has to be consistently medicated to be able to function normally in society take the drug test ? Basically their being medicated is their promise to be able to live amongst us, stop taking the meds , into an institution you go. They've already been evaluated, and the results known. Share these results with the BATF/NICS.

Anti-gunners: "We should listen to and respect what these kids have to say regarding gun laws"
Also anti-gunners: "No one under age 21 should be able to buy a firearm"
