The problem is Hollywood took a beloved novel that millions have read and made PC changes to the story and it flopped. This wasn’t just the studio (writers, directors, producers, etc) making selective story cuts to the novel for the sake of time and pace of the movie. These were intentional changes for the sake of the PC culture. When it comes to beloved novels it’s always best to stay as true to the original story as possible and make story cuts based upon time and pace, not changes to ideology.
Hollywood is in trouble? Really? Wow, it's hard to believe for an industry that grossed $39.92 billion worldwide in 2017.
