Frankly, I think Muller is looking for a way out because he knows he has nothing on Trump personally colluding with Russians during the election and issued that Subpoena to the Trump organization to make it appear he is going to cross that red line so Trump will fire him. If Trump fires him the investigation becomes a footnote. Unfortunately for Trump and the rest of the sane-minded citizens of the United States we are gonna have to ride this out.

The funny thing is if it was Hillary in the White House the response would be very different. Crime is a crime, no statue of limitations on fraud etc..

There is enough **** floating around Trump and the constant "don't look there!" statements makes me feel there is something they are hiding that could get them in a lot of trouble. If not Donald Trump directly, someone in his family.

He has been hiding stuff since the campaign. Its all starting to come out, from the women he has cheated with, to the lies about his wealth and his connections to Russia.

Trump may want to think long and hard before he fires Mueller. State charges will freeze Trump's assets and make it unlikely that he will be able to service his debts. His entire organization could collapse before there is any adjudication.
Broke. And out of the White House, into the Big House.

So if people want to see Trump removed from office they should be rooting him on....Go ahead Do It!
I doubt even Graham would go along with impeachment proceedings.

Trump has demonstrated he has a firm hold on his base. Even Gallup still has his approval rating at 40%.

If Republicans try to impeach him, they will lose Trump's faithful followers. There wouldn't be enough low-information voters left for Republicans to win elections.

Congress may move the investigation under their auspices, but they aren't going to pull the pin on Trump.

Rosenstein can only fire Mueller if he finds evidence of misconduct, dereliction of duty, incapacity, conflict of interest or "other good causeā€. Any of those would be most difficult to use to make a case against Mueller, and he could appeal the firing. He would still be able to continue the investigation until the firing was adjudicated.

Trump can fire Mueller directly if he chooses, but it will make things very, very messy and lead to his impeachment. Mueller has Donnie cornered. Things are about to get interesting.

The more Trump and his team call for a shutdown, the more Mueller needs to ramp it up.

Firing Special Counsel Robert Mueller would be the biggest mistake Donald J Trump ever makes in his life. Though I can understand why he would want to.

POTUS Trump is in quite a pickle. He can either fire the Special Counsel, which would essentially be the beginning of the end of his presidency (see: Richard M. Nixon). Or B, he could let Meuller finish the investigation, most likely expose POTUS Trump or those close to him for a lot of illegal activity, and would probably quit before being impeached (see: Richard M Nixon).

Either way, this will situation will most likely end badly for the president. Though Pence taking over would be a good thing overall for the country, as he, unlike Donald Trump, actually knows how government works.
