A lot of people are doing this now to trace what breed their mutts might be. Like it makes any difference. Like canines most of us are just mutts. The "culture" of our ancestors has no bearing on who we are.

I couldn't possibly disagree more with the bolded statement.

What a preposterous position. Of course, culture influences who we are. How could it not?

Do some research on cultural memory and the construction of identity.
