Why do folks think Trump is the source of all the current problems? He didn't elect himself. And even if he goes down in flames tonight, America is still over.

Most unequal, violent, in-debt nation ever now. It can't last. If not Trump then some other coercive power will take over. Look at your local news.. oh wait, no one has the stomach to do that. A baked Potato has the same chance as Trump or "Georgie Warshington" of turning this all around.

You might like this, with the idea of "the bigger task is to eliminate the weaknesses that have produced Trumpism."

Dems and their media will defend or ignore lawlessness as long as it achieves their political ends.

They have been doing it for awhile now.

That's one reason they are tying up the courts.

It prevents current laws from being enforced.

Getting Trump out of office won't "save America" because that would do nothing about what got Trump elected in the first place. Ultra partisan, rabid, liberal media and the coastal politicians who love them. Without leftist politicians attacking anyone not on a coast and trying to tear down everything traditionally American Trump would never have been elected.

Trump is a symptom of the greed and corruption. There is lots to do to fix what is so very wrong.

I agree with 50% of what you said. You didn't mention the Ultra partisan, rabid right party. The GOP and the DNC are to blame for Trump. They have been failing us for decades and it came to a head. They are 2 heads on the same beast.
You want to save America? Come up with a viable 3rd party. One that puts America before party.

As much as I dislike Trump, he wasn't the cause of all of these problems and unrest in this country. He was only the result. I think a lot of it started with Obama..........nothing that Obama personally did wrong, he just happened to be a black man, and a lot of people were bothered by that. No matter what he did to try to make things better, he was still the wrong color.

We see it on here all the time, some of the ideas and feelings that some members have seem to come from such a dark, distrustful place. Everything is a conspiracy and everyone is crooked and needs to be locked up.

Trump just happened to be in the right place at the right time. Under normal circumstances, he would have been laughed off of those rally stages, but he was a perfect fit for some of the people who wanted to rub something in the face of tradition. They could not have picked a better man for that job.

I don't think ANYONE thinks Trump is the source of all of our problems. Despite our admitted problems, it's a leap to give us "most unequal, violent, in debt nation.

Very inflammatory, very inaccurate.

Trump won because he was the only candidate that paid any attention to the American people.

That doofus didn’t elect himself. lol

Things have been getting worse with each successive President for a long time now. All the partisan sniping and dismissing the character of people who disagree with you got worse and worse each year. Add in cable news/internet that allowed people to build bubbles around themselves while amplifying voices on the extremes and it just made everything crazier. Now we have voters living in completely separate realities. We can’t even agree on what the facts are much less anything else.

Until that starts to go away we won’t get any better.
