Create an account with a fake name and a throw away email account. Use a VPN.

After Zuck took his company public and suddenly was compelled to monetize his data mine, my fake throwaway not long after asked me to verify my identity with a picture of my ID. This used to be the way to go.

Keeping up with people I don't live near (which happens when you move around) is the only reason I've kept it.

When the Obama campaign used big data from social media it was seen as a positive modernization of campaigning. But when Trump does it..

I created a Facebook account for one specific temporary reason over a year ago and have been trying to delete it ever since. Stuck in some sort of email limbo....can't log in, can't log out, can't verify my email address, can't change it or disable it. However I still get chatty little updates in the inbox. I don't want to use it, never have. No way to contact a human for help apparently.

Same here. I get emails on my regular email saying "You have 17 new contacts on Facebook." Whoever they are, I can't contact them and don't care who they are anyway. Whatever, I just ignore it all.

In the last month alone, GAB ai. has exploded with new users bailing from the big 3.
