LOL - whenever was the mass media not an arm of the world's greatest propaganda machine?

When was the last time any indoctrination agent ever mentioned Creator endowed rights to life, liberty and absolute ownership of private property?
Or that there was only one nation on earth with a republican form of government? (Not to be confused with "republic".)

But, based on what I've seen, they rarely support their claims with specific details nor do they generally provide links to examples of the lies they say are being told. As I see it, many of the things they think are "lies" are often just some reasonably well-verified facts that cast a bad light on their views. (In a lot of examples posted in this forum, the media is reporting something that some politician, scientist, or celebrity has said, so if a "lie" is being told it is not the news organization that is lying; they are simply reporting what the person said. If there is a lie, it is the person who made the statements - not the media who reports what they said. In some other cases I've seen, the "lie" is a factual error that is later retracted by the news organization. In which case, it wasn't actually a "lie" but, rather, a mistake that was later corrected.)

On the other hand, it seems to me that Fox News has been rather blatant about their right-leaning views. In principle, I don't really mind this. Conservative views certainly should be part of our national conversations. But I've been thinking that some aspects of "Trumpism" have derailed Fox News over the past couple of years, and now it seems that a famous conservative commentator has taken the words right out of my mouth:

https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/fo...cid=spartanntp

He continued: “Fox has degenerated from providing a legitimate and much-needed outlet for conservative voices to a mere propaganda machine for a destructive and ethically ruinous administration.”

BTW: What I really wish is that more news organizations would make a stronger effort to offer opposing perspectives on controversial issues. It seems to me that NPR makes a good effort toward this, but not many others do. I hate that so much of our news is now tailored to that people tend to see only the perspectives that they want to see.

Of course one of my hopes for this thread is that some conservatives will try to find a way to show that the commentator is wrong about Fox News. We already know that Ralph Peters is "off the deep end" in many ways, but this does not, in itself, mean that he is wrong about Fox News. I will be interested in hearing comments for and against Fox News, and for/against Peters' accusations.

I'm going to beg everyone to offer good arguments or evidence for any major claims that you make here (but, based on past experience, I'm not going to hold my breath for that).
One less pencil-neck-geek. He should take Shepard Smith with him to Dorkville.

White Evangelicals who hide behind Christianity are the most hypocritical and self righteous bunch I know of. Evangelicals and Fox New lovers are notorious for condemning behavior when themselves secretly practice some of the same things they condemn. Conservative has little or nothing to do with true Christianity, but is rather a cover-up to try control others through high levels of witchcraft.

I have voted libertarian for over 20 years. Last non libertarian candidate I voted for president was Ross Perot. If Ron Paul had become the GOP nominee I would have voted for him. But that opportunity never happened.

If it was Trump - Bernie I may have voted for Bernie. But that opportunity also never happened.
Strange how no one ever supported the Iraq War!

Do you actually believe there are winners and losers in an exchange of opinions?

Has FOX ever "Cut off" a feed of someone who dares disagree with them? Not that I ever heard someone report it. I dont really know..i dont watch FOX, other than the occasional Jeanine Pirro opening statement on Saturday if i happen to be home.. But I do recall a youtube video showing the many times CNN would "accidentally" lose the feed of someone who strays from the archaic liberal narrative...

When you have cable networks that wear Trump Derangement Syndrome as a badge of honor, Fox doesn't look too bad.
CNN and MSNBC aren't the subjects here. If you want to argue their merits, start another thread to do it.
