But did he not seem quite surprised at the outcome? Was no one in the WH monitoring the Bill, or has it become too dysfunctional with the current chaos?

Congress sure looked like it didn't even try to provide Trump with cover that - bill size, or not - might have made the Omnibus more palatable to the Base. Assertions by the Base that the bill was designed in part to undercut Trump might well hold some weight.

Heck ... they even told the guy that he could not use concrete - right AFTER he flew out to inspect his models!

That's a real diss.

They voted for that tax bill so I'm not sure how progressive they are, that bill is nothing but a big wet kiss to corporations and hedge fund managers

Yep, we're looking at the end of the country, literally. We're a year or two away from total communist control.

Yet in his temper tantrum about being forced to sign the bill he stood there and said "we will start working on the wall tomorrow" I was gobsmacked. And then a few hours later (probably after a staffer told him there would be no wall) he signs a new executive order once again banning transgender people from military service, WTH was that for, to keep the base from getting upset with him about the wall

It's disgusting what the DemocRats support.
And Trump signed it. Go figure.

Nonsenseguy is in denial. The GOP holds all branches of power, only they can bring a bill to the floor, yet he continues to blame this monstrosity on the Democrats. It's hilarious the disconnect from reality of some of these Trump supporters. They refuse to acknowledge that Trump had all the power in his hands to veto this bill, but was more interested in getting out of Washington so he could golf.

But yeah, it's all the Democrats fault.

Yep. The bill is a train wreck. But it's not a Democrat train wreck.
