Too bad she didn't kill him. Actually both of them.

Meeting in person is safe if done correctly though. Some cities set up spots for people to do business that are well-lit and have security cameras. If that isn't enough (I don't think it is but it's better than a dark alley) meet inside at the local police station and tell the attending officer what you're doing. I did that many years ago when I was selling my sister's car for her.
