If you don't want your rights infringed, it's up to you to come up with a plan to make them satisfied the shootings will stop. If you don't, they will.
And the first thing they will do is vote against every politician who has ever taken gun money. When an 11-year old girl says she only has 7 years to go before she votes, you had best take her very seriously.
This is a brand-new voting bloc of millions. it's not only kids, either. Once parents and family lose a member to a school shooting, they vote, too. This bloc is half conservative, half liberal, has all races and religions in it, both genders equally, and only one simple agenda uniting them.
Stand by. If you don't become very convincing, you will lose your AR-15 very soon.
They're chances of being on the wrong end of mass shooter's gun are literally less than their chances of being struck by lightning.

The movement's "demands" make no logical sense... current proposed Assault Weapons bans have a "grandfather clause" that allows current owners of such guns to keep everything they've got.
AR-15s are a 70 year old technology that can be built at home virtually from scratch with hobby CNC machines and unregulated internet parts. How does that legislation change anything besides creating a new collectible and black market?
I have an 18 year old, a 16 year old and a 10 year old so my children are squarely in that demographic. They'll all be voters too, but they won't be misinformed ones. The truth has a way of making itself heard.

All I know is what I saw yesterday. I would bet if all of the 800+ rallies were tallied, there were a lot more protestors in the streets than there are members of the NRA, and they are already making future plans to keep the issue alive and in the news cycles. The Parkland Survivors were taught modern journalism by their school, and are well equipped for this battle. They are attractive, articulate, have stage presence, and they watched their friends get shot for no other reason than being where they were supposed to be.
The Kids simply think they should be able to go to classes without being killed. The "adults" in charge have failed them utterly and are asking "adults" for help, but they are not getting anything but thoughts and prayers and lip service. Spitting on them would be less of an insult . And if you believe jackasses like the one pictured below are going to scare them into silence, think again. They are not afraid and will not be intimidated.
