The derivation of “collusion,” in fact, is pretty benign. “‘collusion” is from the Latin “colludere, formed from com- (‘with,’ ‘together’) and ludere (‘to play’): the literal meaning of collusion is ‘playing together.’”

That kind of “collusion” sounds like fun: If you “collude” with some friends to throw a surprise party for another friend, people won’t think ill of you. And just thinking of “collusion” doesn’t make it so. It takes at least two to “collude,” and both must be in on it.

That's why the word “Conspiracy” is used in legal terms. A secret agreement for fraudulent or illegal purpose.

Is anyone dumb enough to be surprised he was cheating on his wife with a porn star and a playmate?
I just cant figure out why he is paying to keep his mistresses quiet. Id bet there are dozens to hundreds of those NDAs. the next one will be a yawn also.

The root/origin of a word don't hold the meaning/connotation/evolution of a word in stone

Personally both collusion and consptracy are approriate

No I’m not surprised and I’m sure there are many others. What I am surprised is all of those Christians on the right that have so easily accepted that type of behavior as ok with them.

Hypocrites

Trump will ultimately bring down Trump, his hubris blinds him to his inadequacies & faults. He will end up like Caesar, stabbed repeatedly in the back by all those who he thought would cover for him when they finally realize how he is wounding the republic.

Christians in my state and district (SC) looked the other way when they elected Mark Sanford as our House Rep after the whole debacle with him cheating on his wife with a mistress from Brazil (or was it Argentina?) while governor.

Yet, these same people were clamoring for Bill Clinton's head about 12 years prior to that. The circumstances might not be identical, but there is no consistency. In many cases, the acceptance of behavior like this is simply linked to the party and has nothing to do with actual morals.

Trump thinks Caesar is that "little pizza man" on the TV commercials.
