When the guy bent down to pick up the gun, the old man would have been justified in shooting him again. Honestly, I thought it was odd that he didn't.
It is easy to Monday morning quarterback, but he should have picked up the gun when the perp walked away to the other part of the store. I can't fault him because I have thankfully never been in that situation. This is why I don't open carry in populated areas. Woods, OK, but I don't want to be targeted like this guy.
