Civil Wars usually start when one side thinks their rights are being infringed upon. And what is happening is just that. We're seeing Constitutional rights like the 2nd Amendment being challenged. Crimes are committed VASTLY by the left, using illegal guns. Yet mainstream media are trying to disarm law abiding gun owner??? All the while we're seeing states like CA allowing "sanctuary status" to ILLEGAL aliens. They're taking away the RIGHTS of tax-paying legal citizens while granting rights to illegals. That's why the right is aggravated, and rightfully so!

The American right controls all three branches of the federal government and a staggering majority of state governments, yet they are the ones always talking Civil War. Civil wars are usually fight for freedom, independence or power. Why would the group that holds all the power want a civil war? Do they literally just want to kill their political opponents?
The strategy of conservatives in recent years has been to present themselves as the "losers" in recent history. They're a persecuted minority, being pushed out of the institutions most influential to society, and are having their entire way of life vanquished. This narrative is how Donald Trump, a billionaire celebrity gameshow host who at one point sold steaks via the mail, was elected as a "man of the people."
Part of this narrative is pretending like they'll fight; it's mostly a ploy to get those who are... less endowed (in more ways that one) to feel "powerful." Of course they won't actually start a civil war, namely because the guy son top know the entire narrative is obviously not true. All the same, the narrative works to get them elected, so they commit to it, no matter how deranged it seems.

No, they want to talk about it and intimidate folks. The reality of civil war would horrify most of them. But they sure do want to cheer on the idea. They need to stop watching movies, and start realizing that civil war is a horror show applied to your friends and family.
I would venture to say many of them are in their late 60's to early 70's dreaming about getting off that LazyBoy and playing cowboy. Pffft.

No one wants a civil war, but know this.....many red state conservatives will fight before accepting the snowflake version of America. You cannot violate the constitution and people’s rights and not expect civil war. Don’t expect it to be like a left wing riot either, whole states could leave the union, armies will be organized and the us military would splinter choosing sides. When conservatives do something like this it will be done right, it won’t look like a BLM riot or an antifa protest. Also this is not 1861, we have an advantage this time. Again no one wants this to happen, no we don’t want to kill our political opponents, but in recent years those opponents have become very radical and truly un American. Democrats of 30 years ago would cry out against them as much as conservatives do today. The things the left is endorsing sound so insulting to America and it’s values it’s hard not to have anything but contempt for those who espouse thier beliefs.

Do you really not think we have 'redistribution of wealth' now? It just happens to be flowing from the poor to the rich and then we got that Corporate Welfare that cons seem to LOVE so much.
I have great faith that the great 'red state' revolution will never come. Hell, Alabama just elected a democrat to the senate.
I see the civil war threads about one every other month. They all seem to get locked after the right wing nuts show up and start going about how bloodthirsty they are, and how the other side has no guns. Often going on about how the military is with them, etc.
News flash. The other side has guns. The military wants no part of gunning down American citizens. It would be the most horrible thing you can imagine. Take a look at countries where it happens. Only a fool would wish for one.

It's probably about 5% of the hard core white/male/gun worshipping/rural/exburban/hard right nut cases who routinely talk about this stuff on this and other forums. They do things like post pictures of children holding guns with captions "come and try to take my guns", pathetic loser things like that. You know who they are on city-data. it gives the impression they are far more prevalent then they are, because they are so vocal and obsessed with their guns and racial animosity and reactionary mindset.
But what would the liberal left and ethnocentrics do without demonizing an entire group of people for a few radicals in their rank? It's what they do all the time.
