I don't believe for one minute that all people who are shot didn't comply. That's a lie. But I also think some people are so hostile with even nice cops that the cop feels threatened and as it escalates the cop panics.

I would think Walmart would have video of their parking lot, but we'll see.
Then there was that case where the guy was unarmed and crawling on the floor, begging for his life, and the cop shot him dead. Forget the poor guy's name. Sometimes, it is justified and other times it shouldn't be considered justified. The authorities usually rule it justified no matter what the circumstances though.

The guy that was told to put his hands on his head/out in front of him, then moved his right hand towards his waist?

Exactly. And posters still blamed him even though the cop appeared unhinged from the start.

No, profiling is a response to criminal activity, not the other way around.

Just look at the prison population. Look at who is in the criminal justice system at all stages. Blacks are disproportionately represented in every stage.

Ferguson’s
police and municipal court practices both reflect and exacerbate existing racial bias, including
racial stereotypes. Ferguson’s own data establish clear racial disparities that adversely impact
African Americans. The evidence shows that discriminatory intent is part of the reason for these
disparities
. Over time, Ferguson’s police and municipal court practices have sown deep mistrust
between parts of the community and the police department, undermining law enforcement
legitimacy among African Americans in particular.

After engaging in a thorough investigation, initiated at
the request of the City of Baltimore and BPD, the Department of Justice concludes that there is
reasonable cause to believe that BPD engages in a pattern or practice of conduct that violates the
Constitution or federal law. BPD engages in a pattern or practice of:
(1) making unconstitutional stops, searches, and arrests;
(2) using enforcement strategies that produce severe and unjustified disparities in the rates of
stops, searches and arrests of African Americans

Sounds like the Michael Brown incident in opposite. An innocent cop is railroaded and a violent punk is held up as an Innocent.

I think the police being criminals is a bigger deal than a criminal being a criminal and deserves attention

You've got to see this - it's absolutely sickening.
