The problem with this, is the 'see something say something' mentality they have drilled into everyones heads lately, everyone is soooo suspicious of everyone else, if they are not acting like a normal little obedient robot.
I saw this happen at work a few times, a guy taking a nap in his car and some idiot calls police thinking they are passed out on drugs! they are too dumb to stop and think hey he may be taking a nap or getting off the road for awhile to be safe, its absurd!
Police in Barstow, two hours outside of Los Angeles, killed 26-year-old Diante Yarber, who was believed to be unarmed and was driving his cousin and friends to a local Walmart on the morning of 5 April. Police have alleged that Yarber was “wanted for questioning” in a stolen vehicle case and that he “accelerated” the car towards officers when they tried to stop him,
he's dead how do they not know if he was armed or not?
This is a sad case if the police were hunting black people.
Summary
On Thursday, April 5, 2018 at 10:53 a.m. Barstow Police Officers responded to a call of a suspicious vehicle, a black Mustang, in the parking lot of the Walmart store. Officers arrived and located the vehicle in the parking lot. Officers believed the driver was a subject wanted for questioning in a recent crime involving a stolen vehicle. Officers attempted a traffic stop of the Mustang when the driver suddenly reversed the vehicle and struck one of the patrol cars. When the driver again accelerated toward the officers and struck a second patrol car, the officer involved shooting occurred. Two of the four occupants were struck by gunfire.
Quote:
Previous reports from the police and local media in March indicate that Mr Yarber had been sentenced to four years probation last year for child abuse or endangerment, and resisting or obstructing an officer, according to court records. He was also sentenced to more than a year in prison in August of 2011 for pointing a shotgun at a group of people, and then shooting overhead, other records show. Mr Yarber was taken into police custody in mid-March on felony charges for possessing a firearm, but managed to escape from custody at the time.
The officers attempted a traffic stop but Diante instead backed into one police vehicle and then accelerated forward into another police vehicle at which time the police fired.
Trying to run over the police will get you shot no matter what race you are.
Black man shot for looking suspicious on the Walmart parking lot
LOL
Right. He looked suspicious when he tried to run over police officers.

Yes - profiling exists... I get it all of the time... and it goes beyond the cops.
Let's get the whole story.
OK. Now you've got it. The cops defended themselves.
