That's true, but that's the way it is these days. Politics has always been like that to some extent, but when one side says something vile, the other side has to have a comeback, and on and on it goes.

My opinion is just that it shows how much of a lack of respect we have for each other in this day and age. It would be nice to have more civil discussions about our differences, but we both know that isn't going to happen.

To some extent the anonymity internet is to blame. It's easy to be a keyboard commando and insult people when nobody (generally speaking) knows who you are. What gets me is when high profile people say stupid things. There is no anonymity with them and you have wonder what they heck they were thinking.

Simply, ABC did not like Roseanne's tweet.
Most people agreed that her tweet was in poor taste.
"Liberals" are not "mortified."
Most normal people just think that Roseanne is a loudmouthed a-hole from way back and the company that employs her doesn't want to employ her anymore. Their choice. She doesn't represent them. Just like the woman who flipped off Trump who lost her job.

It's rather sweeping to group people who don't like Roseanne's idiocy into a hive-like demographic labeled "liberals."
Correct. Less than ten years ago she was a left wing lunatic making outrages tweets.

Plus, wasn't she a liberal? LOL

Anyway, there is a thread couple of days ago, some posters said Trump supporters deserve to be discriminated against.

There are people on BOTH sides choose to hate for no reasons in my opinion. So I agree with what you said here.
Democrats discrimination against blacks now think it's ok to discriminate against Trump supporters. People really need to think about why Democrats always need groups to discriminate against.

Roseanne has given far left zealots and the race baiters a gift. It is awful to watch and we should all be noting who is exploiting the terrible tweet.

Meanwhile, Samantha Bee calls Ivanka Trump a "feckless c*nt" on national television and the nation just goes on with its day.

Are either of those words used to describe Trump's grifter daughter racially charged?

Oh, is that the only offensive behavior that matters any longer?

What's their platform other than the common enemy? they have to pour it on thick because rational thought does not favor them. I remember the left used to try and offer a better lot for the labor side of the equation within the same basic region. Now apparently women and minorities are supposed to be oppressed by a remote force in the woods. Who is oppressing them? Lots of them inhabit the cities where the Trump support is rather scarce. Now, given that the Trump support is in flyover country , these are the haves:

10 Small Towns In Michigan You've Probably Never Heard Of

So how can the left extract all this wealth from these privileged areas above to the relief of the poor urbanite below?

yes, I watched, and for me, I can separate the Rosanne in the show from Rosanne's big mouth, but, as was Will and Grace's show, it was a bit too political for me, sorry, but I don't find it entertaining, to sit and watch political discussions shoved down my throat. Never watched Will and Grace again because of that, and Rosanne's show for me, was just ok....
