The shower thing was a logical consequence. Roseanne didn’t yank her out, she just said fine and jumped in with her, knowing the kid would leave on her own accord. Hog the bathroom that six people have to share and maybe someone else will decide it’s no longer your turn.
I was curious why Roseanne was taking a shower in the upstairs bathroom, when her and Dan have their own?
Anyways, I find it funny so many posters here complain about the political content in Roseanne yet have no problem with it in Will & Grace. I have always been a Will & Grace fan, but the sometimes the anti Trump ranting in the new show is a bit much.
Exactly. Roseanne's family is a bunch of miserable, dysfunctional, and immature clods now, just as they were back in the day. They are not to be admired, and I see nothing "funny" about watching grown adults act in such a way. Adding Trump-loving on top of it is just the proverbial icing on the cake. It should surprise no one, really.
You know, I felt that way after a few seasons of the original show. I never knew that Laurie Metcalf was actually a decent actress until I saw her in a few movies. It's like she (and most of them) were playing caricatures instead of portraying real people.
The actress who got on my nerves the WORST was the original Becky - who is now back and still screaming at the top of her lungs whilst supposedly playing an adult.
I grew up in a house with seven people and one bathroom. You did not take long, luxurious showers because it's likely there would be people pounding on the door needing to use the facilities. It would have been rude and selfish, and we weren't raised that way.
Rosanne asked her granddaughter nicely several times to finish up, but the girl refused, stating that she "deserved" to take as long as she wished, everyone else be damned. Rosanne gave her a lesson in how to live in a house with many people and one bathroom, and she did it effectively and with a smile.
I thought that was the best part of the episode, probably because it resonated with me so well.
I found it funny that a girl who obviously thinks she's better "is still living there" sponging off her "underlings".
I thought this new Roseanne had 9 episodes. I think there have been 4 0r 5 shown this season. Tonight I see ABC is showing those few episodes again back to back. Don't know why they can't continue with a new episode. So no Roseanne for me tonight. I'm going for my walk a half hour earlier.
The writing is not that great and there are only two or three people in the cast who I think are good actors. I would hope Norm McDonald and Wanda Sykes play as little role as possible in the series because they are not funny.
I don't think it has much if anything to do with politics at all except for those that try to make it political.
I've been watching TV since the 50's and except for a few "Return To's" .... I do not remember any show going off the air then returning several years later with the exact same cast. That coupled with the show is actually pretty funny. It was funny in its original form before any of this political division in the country existed. Its still funny. Coupled with return of the original cast, it has garnered a lot of interest. The few political gags, compared to what you see on most other comedy shows, are pretty tame.

I know funny is subjective, but Norm Macdonald has been in the business for 30+ years because most folks know he is funny as f**k!
