Her job is to report, and then say what SHE THINKS about it. The comments about Hogg's college admission are relevant as an evidence of lack of character, and promoting controversy for PERSONAL GAIN. That is his intent. The fact that the universities saw through his charade is a good thing. They don't want the negative media attention, and his crap to deal with constantly.
The advertisers thought she wasn't a good fit for them after what she said and left.
What she did, how she did it, who she did it to and under what circumstances was grotesque and the fact that you cannot understand that speaks volumes, And free speech is alive and well which is why her ex-sponsors are talking with their dollars. So naive. Her job is to suck up to the prejudices of an audience with predictable consumption patterns to make them tune in. Fox "News" can then go out and sell this very specific target audience to advertisers. The audience and the advertisers they bring in are her deliverable, not her commentary. And if she makes herself distasteful to said advertisers, she's hurting Fox's bottom line - and that is bad job performance.

He forfeited it when he called NRA members child murderers with blood on their hands. What the heck did he expect? Laura Ingraham should not have tweeted that though. Why be nasty to a kid? He’s not even 18 years old.

Sure enough but I'm talking specifically about the Ingraham situation. He got her to grovel and when she did he just pressed his jack boot on her throat even harder. If he's going to be this confrontational he can't hide behind his age when people push back.
