Being 'smart enough' has very little to do with getting into a California State University. Almost all the kids who apply are smart enough. What probably hurt his chances more than anything else is that he had to apply as a non-resident. For the past year or so all Cal State Universities limit the number of out of state or foreign students accepted each year to 20%.
Exactly. Another point: Ingraham most likely tried to find the worst dirt she could about Hogg and that was all she could come up with; an honor student couldn't get into an out-of-state college of his first choice.

I don't know if they post out of state, but the average of all incoming freshman is 1370. Out of state would be higher since so few are accepted out of state.
Not all teenagers. I have two teenagers, they have been raised better than that. And they both have much higher test scores too. Perhaps spending less time whining on social media allows kids to do better in school.
I imagine that when students have to worry about a mass shooting, they cannot concentrate as well on their studies.

I think its sad that an adult attacked a grieving child and also that it is sad that conservatives today are so okay with being more immature than children in regards to name calling and bickering/tantruming.
