I agree.

They've been at each other's throats for centuries and will be going after it long after we leave.

If Trump announced that he was bringing every soldier home from around the world for his grand parade and that they would be staying home, I'd cheer for him.

But whether the military-industrial complex will allow this remains to be seen.

I can't stand Trump but I would definitely cheer for him if that happened. My guess is most of America would.

Too much money involved in war mongering.

All of those countries should be free to choose their own destinies - succeed or fail on their own.

As long as they don't pose an actual threat to the U.S. or spread terrorism in western countries, then the U.S. should end its military involvement in the Middle East.

Good to hear this. It's about time. There is no reason for US troops to be putting their lives on the line for anyone in Syria.
